Gooseford Farm Guestbook
Once again a short break, but equally enjoyable. The Cottage suited us in every way. We’ve booked again in 2021. Just speaks for itself. Thanks
Thank you for such a relaxing stay in your beautiful cottage, you made sure we had everything we needed and we were so comfortable. The cottage is beautiful and has the most stunning views. We both fell a little in love with fern and Daisy the farm dogs 💖. See you again and thank you x
We stayed at Gooseford Farm Cottage for 4 nights at the end of September 2020 and were impressed at the finish and cleanliness of the cottage, our only previous stay on a farm involving cobwebs and spiders on the beams. Gooseford Cottage is lovely and warm with a comfy superkingsize bed, a spacious bathroom, a lounge area and a fully equipped kitchen leading to a small private garden with incredible views. Mary is a wonderful host and her breakfasts, which we chose as an extra as the cottage is self-catering, were amazing and kept us going all day, so much so that we had to request smaller portions! There are unlimited things to do in the area, but we would specially recommend going to see the afternoon milking which was fascinating and was one of the highlights of our stay. Thankyou Mary for a perfect stay and we look forward to another visit to Gooseford Farm soon.

Mary, thanks for such a warm welcome. Enjoyed the walking all around, and had lovely home cooked roast dinner with an atmospheric log burner going in the guest sitting room. Very relaxing few days
Thank you for your hospitality Mary. So welcoming and friendly. Very comfy bed and the breakfast albeit Pre order was absorlutely delicious and well presented. Loved the peace&quiet too.
Dear Mary, What an amazing host, from the minute we arrived (muddy from our bike ride) your warm welcome was fabulous ...and then you showed us to the wood burning stove, tea and cake (heaven)! Or room, was wonderful, spotlessly clean and a delight to be in. Your food was 'off the scale', the perfect home cooked pie and home grown vegetables were delicious as was our splendid cooked breakfast. We cannot wait to return, when we get through the dreaded Covid 19. Thank you so much.
Thanks for a lovely stay at Gooseford Farm and for such a friendly welcoming! Lovely location and delicious breakfast, especially the home baked bread.
Thank you Mary for a wonderful relaxing weekend in the cottage. The B&B is on a working dairy farm, but there is nothing to disturb visitors as the milking takes place up the road. The location is so peaceful with only a gentle breeze and birdsong to disturb your morning cuppa on the patio (if you've booked the cottage). The view from the patio is worth a fortune, looking across the fields up to the Dartmoor fells. There's a fabulous breakfast, cooked to order, with home baked bread and the widest range of cereals I've ever encountered! We will return.
Had a lovely stay. Beautiful working farm. An abundance of fantastic food. Lovely rooms, comfy beds. Mary is so friendly and helpful. Everything you need for a lovely relaxing stay.
Very comfy beds in a lovely room with space. Breakfast was delicious. Mary is a great host. Being a working farm was a treat for us townies, seeing chickens, ducks and geese roaming free in the farmyard. Bring wellies and watch the milking around 4pm. Highly recommended. Thank you Mary.
Found this at very last minute and I wasnt dissapointed. Mary and Julian made me feel really welcome and I was offered a cuppa tea on arrival and cake. The shared lounge is very cozy and the bed very comfortable. Fabulous breakfast with freshly made bread. I will definitely return. Thank you both x
i stayed in the self catering unit for two nights. it has a massive bed upstairs and a comfy sofa bed downstairs. the two areas are connected so if you're sharing then it's something to be aware of. the facilities are high spec and extremely comfortable. there is a big kitchen with excellent utensils and appliances and an outside seating area with views across fields up to the moors. although you're in the middle of a farm it was very quiet. breakfast was in the main farmhouse and very tasty. the place is easy to get through and very handy for the main roads down to cornwall and up to exeter and beyond. i would definitely stay here again. absolutely nothing to find fault with.
Our stay with Mary was superb, really appreciated the quality of our room, the well thought out facilities and especially the sheepskin slippers provided! Everything for visitors has been done with style and perfection. Well done Gooseford Farm
We had a great stay at the farm, Mary gave us a warm welcome and the food was delicious. Thanks!

Thank you Mary and Victoria for making us so welcome. Unfortunately we only stayed one night. Next time it will be longer. The farm is in a lovely area which we should like to explore more.
